How to pre-register:
1) Click on the "Register to Race" button.
2) Fill up the Pre-Registration form and click on Submit.
3) Print the Confirmation form and make sure to bring this to the race as proof of the waiving of your registration fee.
4) Registrants below 18 years old may also pre-register but must bring their parent or legal guardian to the race in order to give consent.
5) Participants, parents and legal guardians must bring a valid ID.
6) Participants without a Confirmation form print out will not be entertained. They may still join the race but should pay the registration fee.
JOINING THE RACE:
1. Upon registration a fee of PhP 200 will be collected. This will entitle the participant to a Sector 9 Manila Bomb Kit. Participants using Sector 9 skateboards will have their fee waived.
2. You can pre-register at the Aloha Board Sports shop in Rockwell or download and print out the registration form here.
3. All forms must be submitted at Aloha Board Sports (Rockwell Store) - 3rd Floor Power Plant Mall, Makati.
4. Participants 18 years old or above are to sign a waiver and present an ID identifying their age before their kits are handed over.
5. Pre-registration will end on October 8, 2008. Walk-in registration will be accepted during the race assembly but limited slots will be available therefore may not be guaranteed slots on the day itself.
6. For participants from ages 12-17, you can only register on the day of the race accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.
LOCATIONS: Assembly for the race is at the Raja Sulayman Park, Manila and end at the Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Makati. An Awarding Ceremony will be held at the Rockwell Powerplant Plaza parking lot in Makati.
PRIZES & AWARDS: A cash prize and trophy will be awarded to the top male, top female and top participant from age 12 to 17. Product prizes will also be awarded compliments of the growing list of sponsors.
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: HELMETS AND BODY PROTECTION PADS ARE REQUIRED (this includes knee pads and elbow pads). Those who fail to comply with this condition on the day of the event shall be disqualified and will not be allowed to participate in the race. Other safety measures are up to the rider. We are not liable for any injuries acquired while participating in the race.
Since this event is a skateboard race, a skateboard is strictly required. A skateboard is defined as: 4 wheels, 2 trucks, and 1 Board.
Attempting to ride anything other than a skateboard will result to a disqualification from the race.
RACE COURSE: Skaters must gather at the Raja Sulayman Park where the start point is located. The course will run through Roxas Boulevard to Gil Puyat Avenue to Makati Avenue to P. Burgos to Kalayaan to Rockwell where the finish line is located. Stations will be placed throughout the course wherein racers must get markers. They must be able to gather all the markers to complete the race.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The race is scheduled for October 11, 2008, Saturday, registration will start at 5:30 AM to 6:15 AM. The start of the race is at 6:30 AM. Skaters can freely stay at the Rockwell Powerplant Plaza parking lot until the start of the Awarding Ceremony. The Awarding Ceremony and skate party will start at 10:00 AM and last until 2:00 PM at the Rockwell Powerplant Plaza parking lot.
OVERALL SYSTEM & DETERMINATION: Winners are going to be decided on by their race time. In the event of a tie race, judges will be asked to decide on a final winner. Once the winner is announced it is final.
